Type of Suggestion:
Script

Explanation of your Suggestion:
Add an ALPR (Automatic License Plate Reader) System to LEO vehicles which can be toggled on and off. When toggled on and a vehicle passes a hint will pop up with the vehicle's registered owner and vehicle's license plate would be displayed.

Why are you suggesting this?
I think this would be a nice upgrade for the LEO factions, and before saying this would be OP I suggest not adding any form of "Hits" or "Alerts" to these notifications as that in itself would be OP. It would be up to the individual officers to keep up with the warrants on the forums.

Maybe there can be some sort of addon civs can buy for their vehicles that block the ALPR, like some sort of film that would go over the plate and therefore stop the system from reading it. This, in turn, would be illegal so it would be somewhat risky to have on.

Fake Plates is pending implementation so this'll already be covered.

Hello,

After reviewing your suggestion it has been Denied by the management team. The reason we chose to deny this was because we felt there wasn't a solid way to implement it development wise that made sense to our community. We prefer the concept of putting LEOs in situations where they have to physically go around and investigate things themselves with actual work rather than allowing them to say, drive through a populated parking area and immediately find the suspect their looking for without even having to touch their computer. The current system with searching in the MDTs works well and we don't see a real need to simply this process much more.

Regards,
Nick
